Report: Gerard Butler Is in Rehab
Brittany Snow Brittany Snow has been cast in NBC's new presidential pilot 1600 Penn. The comedy centers on the most ordinary family in the world - who just so happen to live at the White House. Snow will play Becca, the overachieving and perfectionist daughter of the president who helped raise her younger siblings. As previously announced, Book of Mormon's Josh Gad will play Skip, her gregarious and clumsy older brother. Pilot Season: Get the scoop! Gad will also write and executive-produce the pilot with Modern Family's Jason Winer. Besides her breakout role playing Meg Pryor in American Dreams, Snow previously starred in John Tucker Must Die, Hairspray, and Harry's Law.

Fiddler Joe Thompson dies at 93
Released: Tue., Feb. 21, 2012, 11:24am PTBy Connected PRESS Joe Thompson, a across the nation famous old-time fiddler and folk music artist died Monday of natural causes in Mebane, N.C. He was 93. Trained by his father the best way to play in the fiddle, Thompson mastered an approach to African-American country fiddling that has largely disappeared. '2 Guns' fires sales
Mark Damon's Foresight Unlimited has seen its busiest market ever in Berlin, clocking up more than $65 million in pre-sales thanks to projects like "2 Guns" and "Rule #1."The $84 million actioner "2 Guns," toplining Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington and helmed by "Contraband" director Baltasar Kormakur, has proved to be one of the hottest titles at the market.Pic, which has sold between $45 million-$50 million in pre-sales, locked a multi-territory deal with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions on Feb. 9 and a $10.6 million deal with eOne for U.K. and Canadian rights.Reese Witherspoon starrer "Rule #1" has already sold to Benelux (DFW), Canada (eOne), Iceland (Myndform), Israel (United King), Portugal (Lusomundo), Scandinavia (Mis Label), Russia (Zao West), China (HGC), Eastern Europe (Revolutionary Releasing), India (Tanweer), Thailand (M Pictures) and Latin America (Imagem), while Italia Films took rights for Middle East, Turkey and Greece.Speaking to Variety, Damon and Foresight prexy Tamara Stuparich De La Barra remarked that this year's EFM, which marks the first time the outfit has taken on third-party projects for sales, has been "the single biggest market" of their careers.Even before the market opened, distrib Swen snapped up Latin American rights for "2 Guns," which Universal is distributing domestically.And it doesn't stop there: Foresight's Jim Carrey starrer "Pierre Pierre" has sold to Germany (Warner Bros.), Russia (Zao West), China (HGC) and Latin America (Imagem & Gussi) in addition to a number of other territories."We've been seeing great deals come out of China and Germany, which is very positive," said Damon.
